SDNXT PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 08/08/2026
SDNXT ("we," "us," "SDNXT") operates sdnxt.app, a social network where you can connect with friends and the wider community — follow people, join groups, post, message, call, and go live — while also reaching education/migration agents, counselors, and institutions for professional guidance and paid services. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Contact us at tech@sdnxt.app with any questions or requests.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account information: name, email address, phone number, country, date of birth, and password (stored encrypted, never in plain text) when you register.
Profile content: profile photo, cover photo, bio, and anything else you choose to add to your profile.
Content you create: posts, comments, messages, voice notes, group chats, Stories, live streams, and any photos/videos/attachments you upload.
Social connections: who you follow, who you're friends with, and the groups you join or create.
Messages and calls: the content of 1:1 and group messages you send, and metadata about voice/video calls and live streams (who participated, when, duration). Live and call audio/video is processed in real time through our video infrastructure provider, Agora.
Payments and payouts: if you buy coins, send gifts, or receive payouts as a counselor, agent, or institution, we (or our payment processors) collect payment details, bank/payout details, and transaction history necessary to process those payments. We do not store full card numbers ourselves — that's handled by Stripe (for cards) and our banking payment partner (for local bank payouts).
Verification information: counselor, agent, and institution accounts go through a verification step before they can accept paid work. Education agents, migration agents, and institutions submit business details — company name, business address, website, and a registration number — along with a document proving business registration. Counselors submit individual details instead — specialization, years of experience, languages, and a government ID plus a professional certification document.
Security and login data: IP address, device/browser information, and timestamps for each login, used to show you your own login activity and detect suspicious access. If you enable two-factor authentication or a passkey, we store the corresponding security credentials — never your biometric data itself, which stays on your own device.
Communications: if you contact support or report content/another user, we keep a record of that report and any related correspondence.
Cookies and similar technologies: see "Cookies & Advertising" below.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
3. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
4. COOKIES & ADVERTISING
We use cookies and similar technologies for: keeping you signed in and remembering your session; security (protecting against cross-site request forgery); showing ads through Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
If you're located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using cookies for personalized advertising, through a consent banner. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the cookie consent banner.
You can also control cookies generally through your browser settings, and opt out of personalized advertising directly through Google at https://adssettings.google.com.
5. DATA RETENTION
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations (particularly for payment and payout records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Stories and similar ephemeral content are removed from normal display after their stated expiry window, though copies may be retained briefly for safety/moderation purposes.
6. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information (most of this you can edit directly in your profile/settings); request deletion of your account and associated data; object to or restrict certain processing, including personalized advertising; receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email tech@sdnxt.app. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. SECURITY
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage, optional two-factor authentication and passkey (WebAuthn) support, and monitoring of login activity for suspicious access. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
SDNXT is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at tech@sdnxt.app and we'll remove it.
9. INTERNATIONAL USERS
SDNXT connects people across many countries, and your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Our file storage is hosted in Singapore via Linode. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be presented to you for re-acceptance, consistent with how SDNXT already tracks legal document versions and acceptance. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
